Summer With The Wrights

Hey Cerson's.
It's samers!!
This summer i had an exceptionally great offer from Roxanne and Mitch wright(AKA my uncle and aunt, of course). To babysit Brooklyn and Julia for five weeks in the summer Everyday of the week; Monday to Friday. Maybe Saturday or Sunday; if Roxanne and Mitch wanted to get away for a bit to have some "peace" and "quite". Anyway, its been really great it's like i have two little sisters, which is really cool. Except i think i would rather stick with having an older and younger brother. Especially because i wouldn't have to look after them and play with them 24/7. There's been some yelling, screaming, kicking, punching, but we've gotten through those times and have had a great summer so far. I hope there having fun, because i know that I am:) We have done a number of things from biking, to playing outside, to picking tomatoes and beans out of the garden, and played out of my very own "Fun Box." That i think there hooked on because every second of the day they ask if they can play with something that's inside. But sometimes i have to say "no" because i don't have that much stuff in there for the whole summer. The coolest thing that happened to me this summer had to have been well... two things: going to the caves, watching everyone try to fit down a tiny crack and then watching Roxanne try to get out of the cave up the crack. While shes doing so the rest of us are just waiting to get out; and then a minute later Brooklyn asked Roxanne if shes gotten up yet and Roxanne says "no Brooklyn not yet its hard to get up." Considering that it was cooled and wet and full of nasty little creatures. Then like 3 seconds after her comment she thumps all the way down the crack and slides right back to where she had started. It must have been really scary for her, but even if it was it was the highlight of my summer, it was SO funny. Her very own "Slip and Slide." And the other really fun/cool thing was horseback riding. My first time on a horse since i was 5 or 6, and i loved it. It was sort of hard because you have to sit up straight and keep your balance on the horse; it was extraordinarily hard especially when the horse started to trot.(which is going faster then walking.) But it was really fun and i thank my aunt roxanne and uncle mitch for taking me there for my birthday. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH. Hmmmm what else happened this summer so far. Oh. At grandpa larrys birthday flethcer was running like mad downstairs like he was chasing after something, who knows right. So anyway he was running like mad downstairs and he went near the back downstairs door, i guess he wanted to go outside because he tryed to get out but of course he couldn't because well the screen door was sort of there in his way so he smacked right into it and then turned and hit the glass door right after. what a dog.. what a dog. But then doug explained that fletcher probably thought that all doors have little doors in them because fletcher has his very own doggy door at home. But it was really funny just watching the little bugger fly through the house. Anyway i think thats enough for today.
Buh Bye For Now.

My Brother's Big Fat Sikh Wedding Part I

You might have been wondering how I've been occupying my time in the last couple of weeks, especially since I didn't get to enjoy Chautauqua with you.. so I thought I'd give you and interim report on my activities. Short hand version: I went to SanFrancisco, participated in nine traditional & non traditional wedding related functions in five days, was reduced to a whisper by halfway through, managed to muddle along till the very end (and yes, ate & danced & partied to the best of my abilities... even paid homage to the best bead store ever) and recovered my voice as soon as I stepped off the airplane at Lester B. And somewhere in the midst of that my sweet little non religious non traditional baby brother had the most traditional wedding I've ever attended. If you're interested the Really Long Version comes complete with descriptions of all the functions, and there's a plethora of gorgeous pictures to go with it. But not today. The wedding reception takes place this weekend here in town & I still have 150 place cards to get finished before then!! In the meantime, here's a picture of my cousins & I with mehendi (henna) on our hands... Minda

It was like traveling back in time, yet it was so far ahead of it's time. A Great week of culture, education and over consumption! You can see the rest of Logan's photography portfolio on Picasa!

Long Weekend CottageFest

Sigh. I just dropped Fletcher off at his babysitter's for the week & the rest of the Cerson clan has taken off for the Ozarks-oops, I mean Chautauqua (sp??!)- so I thought I'd show people what the puppy was up to last weekend. He spent 2 days at the Steels' cottage on Jack's Lake, near Apsley, making friends, chasing chipmunks and eating goose poop. He tried canoing, guided the motorboat, hiked to the beautiful swimming hole (it was cold, and there was so much goose poop to be had on shore that he went in only briefly), cuddled with every cute girl around and played rough with all the boys. Although he was scared by his first experience with fireworks he braved through it with the help of the aforementioned cute girls, but this all left him so tired by Sunday night that he didn't even participate in karaoke! He was the picture of puppy perfection and everyone is asking when he's going back up to visit :) Thanks to Brenna & her family & friends for a memorable weekend! Don't forget to visit the Picasa web album for all the pics...
